Sasuke Uchiha departs to destroy Konoha after defeating White Zetsu with Susano'o. Kakashi and Guy witness Tobi subjugating the Five Tails using massive chakra. The Nine Tails recounts its history, from Madara to Mito and Kushina Uzumaki, criticizing human treatment. Roshi transforms into the Four Tails and swallows Naruto. Inside, the beast insists on being called Son Goku. Naruto learns the Nine-Tails is named Kurama and shares his disdain for how humans treat the Tailed Beasts. Son Goku views Naruto as an exception to this rule. To test if Naruto’s resolve to help the Tailed Beasts is genuine, Son Goku asks the youth to break his chains.
