Obito attempts to kill Naruto despite the tree blooming, claiming no regrets. Naruto breaks free, punches Obito, and asserts the strength of bonds. Inside the Uchiha's mind, the Allied Shinobi Forces release the tailed beasts, who thank Naruto as they regain form. Defeated, Obito mourns his empty heart. The forces prepare to execute him before Kakashi arrives, but Minato stops them, revealing Obito's change of heart. Minato explains to Naruto that Kakashi understands Obito's despair just as Naruto understands Sasuke's solitude. Kakashi tells Obito that Naruto would not have fallen because he has friends. Meanwhile, Naruto seeks Madara and Hashirama to assist in sealing the Uchiha. Standing on the Shinju, Naruto creates a massive Rasenshuriken large enough to illuminate his comrades' footprints.
