Ashura realizes the God Tree sap causes illness by accumulating in crops. He, Taizou, and Kanna confront the village elder, who defends the tree due to past droughts. Villagers turn against Ashura upon learning his Ninshuu origins. Meanwhile, Indra doubts his mission's success, while Ashura resolves to help without destroying the tree. After a year, Ashura returns with villagers who helped dig a well and learn Ninshuu, allowing them to safely remove the tree. Hagoromo observes these events with Gamamaru, waiting for Ashura’s return to make a final decision. Indra meets with Black Zetsu, who continues to influence him.
