Hagoromo appoints Ashura as his successor, surprising everyone. Indra questions this choice, claiming he alone destroyed the remaining God Tree and provided water to his village. Hagoromo reveals Indra’s actions caused internal conflict over water rights, impairing his empathy through the Sharingan. He asks Indra to support Ashura in upholding Ninshuu. After Indra dismisses two loyal followers, a celebration for Ashura begins. Taizou and Kanna discuss the brothers. Hagoromo explains Indra’s inability to understand others and imparts power to Ashura. Indra attacks, denouncing love as weakness and using the Mangekyou Sharingan and Susanoo. Ashura withstands the assault with Truth-Seeking Balls and Wood Style, defeating Indra. Indra escapes, vowing reincarnation until Ninshuu ends. Hagoromo dies, recounting Black Zetsu’s tampering with his Stone Tablet warning about the Sharingan, and finishes his story to the four Hokage.
