Ikta and his team are deployed to a remote, desolate garrison located at the base of a massive mountain range in the far north of the empire. The local staff members are petty and corrupt, and they strongly dislike Ikta’s tendency to slack off and defy their orders. When the staff attempt to imprison him for his insubordination, Ikta accidentally uncovers a secret that they are desperate to keep hidden. This discovery puts him at odds with the corrupt authorities in this isolated and lonely location.
