Chiko and Shunka travel to Shunka's seaside residence, where Shunka hides deep distress regarding a past incident. She eventually confesses that she blames herself for her twin sister's drowning because she failed to prevent it. After returning home, the White-haired Devil manipulates individuals close to Chiko by exploiting their fears, causing them to attack her. Chiko escapes the assault when Tome regains her senses. With her trust shaken and unsure of whom to rely on, Chiko is compelled to seek refuge while wandering through the streets alone.
