Hikage spends her New Year's allowance excessively, which irritates Renge. When a blizzard strikes, Natsumi and Renge compel Hikage to go outside, where their behavior further annoys her. Meanwhile, Honoka, whom Renge met in season 1 episode 4, is visiting her grandmother for the winter break. Although her stay is brief, Renge is pleased to reunite with her friend during this short visit.
