Ep. 1: Rikuo Awakens as the Third Heir of the Nura Clan

Flashbacks reveal Rikuo’s father, Rihan Nura, was murdered by a mysterious girl when Rikuo was five. Three years later, grandfather Nurarihyon names Rikuo the next heir, but Rikuo refuses due to the clan’s harmful actions toward humans. After missing the school bus, Rikuo learns his classmates are in an accident caused by Nura Clan yōkai who prey on children. He transforms into his yōkai form for the first time and leads the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons to rescue them. Rikuo defeats the leader of the attacking yōkai and routs the rest. He then accepts his role as the Third Heir of the Nura Clan, vowing to protect humans from such threats.
