He then accepts his role as the Third Heir of the Nura Clan, vowing to protect humans from such threats.

During this period, Yohime, a woman known as God's gift, possessed healing powers exploited by her controlling father for profit. Her isolation ended when Kyoto yōkai sought to sacrifice her liver to leader Hagoromo Gitsune. Nurarihyon, intrigued by her reputation, visited Yohime and eventually invited her to his clan's hideout to meet his comrades. He proposed marriage, but she refused and demanded he cease visits. The following night, her mansion was attacked, killing all attending onmyōji. Nurarihyon arrived to find the sole survivor revealing that Yohime had been captured by Hagoromo Gitsune's clan.

Yura and Hidetomo have successfully resealed the Fushime-Inari Shrine, Hashira Villa, and Ryuenji Temple, which correspond to the eighth, seventh, and sixth seals. Their objective is to trap Hagoromo Gitsune within Nijo Castle, which serves as the first seal, by completing this series of magical bindings.

After resting and dreaming of his father and grandfather, Rikuo attends a council meeting where Nurarihyon announces an impending all-out war against the Nue clan and its retainers. Rikuo then instructs his subordinates that the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons will adhere to a strict code of honor and refrain from harming humans.
