Ep. 125: Chef Okaboshi shares his past with Fuyumi while serving nabeyaki udon to colleagues.
Chef Okaboshi prepares nabeyaki udon for Yamaoka, Kurita, and Tōjin Tōyama, crediting Mr. Takaragi for its success. His brother Ryozo arrives, mentioning he met Ms. Fuyumi at a ski resort. Okaboshi recounts meeting Fuyumi during his training, their marriage, and their initial restaurant failure. After a cancelled reservation, he cooked a special nabeyaki udon for her, which impressed the late Mr. Takaragi and saved the business. Following Takaragi's death, a fire destroyed the restaurant, and Fuyumi left, believing she brought bad luck. Ryozo reveals Fuyumi shared this guilt. Yamaoka and Kurita take Okaboshi to the ski resort to intercept Fuyumi at the railway station. He orders plain udon, expressing his emptiness, leading to their reunion. The Touzai staff then enjoys New Year's Udon at Okaboshi's restaurant.
