Ep. 127: Kurita and Mariko visit absent Yamaoka, face fire and cooking test

When Yamaoka misses work for three days, Kurita and Mariko visit his home, where Ms. Chiyo, wife of the Gourmet Club chef, suggests they are suitable marriage candidates. A fire erupts in the adjacent building, prompting Ms. Chiyo to order the women to prepare food for firefighters while evaluating their culinary abilities. With limited ingredients, Kurita locates Daiginjō sake, which they heat with water to create a warm sweet drink, while using remaining items to prepare a savory salmon soup. Both women receive praise from Ms. Chiyo for their efforts. However, Yamaoka later discovers that Kurita had secretly requested cooking instructions via phone from chef Mr. Okaboshi to complete the dishes.
