Isamu Yarimura, a friend of Hanamura, struggles with insomnia while competing in F3000 races to reach F1. Kurita advises Yamaoka to help Yamaoka suggests a fish without bones dish for a group dinner. Yarimura becomes obsessed with the recipe's details, which inadvertently cures his sleeplessness. He falls asleep thinking about the dish and wins the championship race the following day. The group then dines on zen naing ling wi, a Chinese flathead grey mullet dish where the flesh is removed, mixed with ingredients, and stuffed back into the lightly fried and steamed fish. Yarimura can now sleep soundly by focusing on non-racing topics.
