Ep. 9: Nanami reveals her true identity to Eiko on the rooftop skydeck.

Karasawa reprimands Nanami for disobeying orders to stop street performing and seeing Eiko. Meanwhile, Kido notes that Eiko has improved but still lacks a reason for singing. Eiko visits Nanami at a rooftop skydeck, where Nanami confesses she is Nanami Kuon of Azalea. She explains that Azalea was formed with high school friends and initially played music they loved, but struggled financially. Desperate, they accepted producer Toshihiko Karasawa from Key Time’s offer to sing his music, which brought success but prioritized fame over art. Nanami regrets losing their musical integrity. Moved by Nanami’s pain, Eiko resolves to save her through music and performs her own version of "I'm Still Alive Today," moving Nanami to tears. Nanami warns their next meeting will be as rivals, though Eiko hopes to sing together again. Kongming arrives, stating Eiko is now ready for the next stage of the plan.
