Following training with Ein, Zwei is ordered to assassinate Lieutenant Wallace, a Navy SEAL who sold weapons to Inferno and terrorists. Wallace’s actions endangered the group after an FBI agent died in Mexico, prompting a duel to the death. Initially hesitant and nearly killed, Zwei’s survival instinct awakens his assassination skills. He wounds Wallace with a combat knife to the right arm before shooting him in the head. Regretting the act, Zwei struggles with inner conflict. Ein advises him to accept his identity as Zwei, but Zwei refuses. Ein agrees to kill him, yet fires away instead. This act causes Zwei to fully awaken, driven by his desire to live.
