The Pokémon World Championships Masters Tournament match between Wataru and Carnet commences. Wataru gains an early advantage as his Kairyu defeats Carnet's Amaruruga. Carnet introduces Pumpjin, prompting Wataru to deploy his shiny Gyarados. After Pumpjin defeats Gyarados, the score levels. Wataru then sends out Sazandra to defeat Pumpjin, securing a 2–1 lead. Carnet reveals her ace, Sirknight, which immediately Mega Evolves. Mega Sirknight uses Moonblast to defeat Sazandra, tying the match. Kairyu returns and Daimaxes but ultimately falls to Carnet's ace. Consequently, Carnet and Dande advance to the semifinals.
