The first round final of the Masters Tournament commences between Satoshi and Hoenn Champion Daigo. Satoshi’s Uonoragon faces Daigo’s Metagross, which is swapped for Bossgodora, leading to Uonoragon’s defeat. Satoshi’s Gangar retaliates by returning a Rock Tomb, knocking out Bossgodora. However, Daigo’s Yuradle defeats Gangar, securing Daigo’s second lead. Pikachu avenges his teammates by eliminating Yuradle. Daigo then deploys Mega Metagross, but it is defeated by Pikachu’s 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. Satoshi wins the battle, advancing to the next round where he will face Shirona.
