Team Rocket pursues a Gigantamax Drednaw while Ash and Goh lure the creature into a confrontation. During the fight, a powerful strike from Drednaw fractures the ground, releasing energy that allows Pikachu to Gigantamax spontaneously without a Dynamax Band. With assistance from Leon, Ash and Pikachu manage to defeat the wild Pokémon, causing both to revert to their normal forms. Following the encounter, Ash requests a battle against Leon. Leon subsequently approaches Ash and Goh unexpectedly and accepts the challenge to fight Ash.
