Ep. 17: Scorbunny struggles with training and runs away, leading to a confrontation with Team Rocket that results in its evolution into Raboot.
During training with Ash and Pikachu, Scorbunny is teased by Goh's Darmanitan to use a Fire-type move, but fails and becomes frustrated. When Goh appears unsympathetic, Scorbunny runs away, eventually learning Ember while Goh focuses on catching Pokémon. After chasing a Pelipper, they encounter Team Rocket, who attack with Poliwrath and Chewtle. Scorbunny is defeated when its Sparks move fails again, prompting Ash and Pikachu to intervene and blast off the villains. Scorbunny flees once more after another perceived lack of sympathy from Goh, only to run into Team Rocket again. This time, Goh and Scorbunny cooperate, causing Scorbunny to evolve into Raboot. The new Raboot uses Ember to defeat Team Rocket, but the incident leaves their relationship potentially damaged.
