At the Pokémon Exchange Event in Vermillion City, Ash and Goh encounter Kylie, a bug-type enthusiast known as the Bug Pokémon Queen of the Sinnoh Region. She seeks to collect Kanto Bug-type Pokémon and attempts to trade her Heracross for Goh's Pinsir, but Goh refuses. Consequently, Ash and Goh attempt to help her catch a wild Pinsir using her special food bait. The situation becomes complicated by Team Rocket, who are starving due to Morpeko, and the actions of Kylie's Heracross, leading to unexpected outcomes during the capture attempt.
