In Cerise Park, Goh observes his white Flabébé struggling to fly after losing a petal. Believing it needs a specific flower to evolve, he and Ash travel to the Kalos Region to find one. Their initial search fails, but they soon visit a local flower shop where the owner discusses her Florges and a lost flower. Following her guidance, the boys explore an area where no flowers are visible during the day. When moonlight reveals hidden blooms, Flabébé selects one and evolves into Floette, learning Grassy Terrain. As Floette begins spreading its flowers, Goh realizes it wishes to stay and protect them. Consequently, Goh releases his White Flower Floette back into the wild.
