Ash and Goh encounter a Piplup from the Sinnoh region that has swum away from its trainer, Lauren. They travel to Sinnoh to return it and discover the Pokémon fled due to jealousy over Lauren's Croagunk, which competes for her attention. To resolve their conflict, Piplup and Croagunk agree to settle their dispute through the Pokémon Iceberg Race. Ash and Goh choose to participate in the event alongside the rivals. Meanwhile, Team Rocket intends to disrupt the competition by capturing all the registered Pokémon. The group must navigate the race while avoiding the villainous team's interference and ensuring the two Pokémon can finally coexist peacefully.
