While visiting Kumquat Island, Ash encounters Luana, the final Orange Island Gym Leader, who initially confuses him for her son. Following an incident where Ash and Luana defend the island from Team Rocket, they proceed to the Gym for a Double Battle. Ash commands Pikachu and Charizard against Luana’s Marowak and Alakazam. However, the lack of coordination between Pikachu and Charizard threatens to prevent Ash from qualifying for the Orange League.
