Ep. 22: Ash and friends investigate a Venipede swarm in Castelia City

Ash, Iris, and Cilan reach Castelia City and meet Burgh, only to find the area shut down. They discover a Venipede trapped in a pipe within the sewers; the frightened Pokémon poisons Ash. A large swarm of Venipede is then found in the sewers and streets. Professor Juniper determines the swarm was displaced from its natural habitat. The group uses their Pokémon to guide the Venipede to Central Plaza to ensure safety for both the creatures and residents. During this event, Ash's Pidove evolves into a Tranquil. Meanwhile, Professor Juniper detects unusual energy emissions from the Desert Resort, prompting Giovanni to travel there to join Team Rocket.
