Following a brief practice match between Scraggy and Axew, Cilan invites the group to lunch. Ash accidentally falls into a large hole excavated by a Sandile near the hot springs. The Sandile challenges Pikachu to a battle, prompting it to evolve into a Krokorok. During the fight, Pikachu uses Electro Ball, which launches the evolved Pokémon away.
