While vacationing on Melemele Island with his mother, Pikachu, and Mimey, Ash enjoys the Alola region. His exploration introduces him to Samson, the principal of the Pokémon School and Professor Oak’s cousin. Ash is captivated by the campus where students learn alongside Pokémon. He deepens his understanding of local traditions through interactions with new friends Mallow and Professor Kukui. Upon the conclusion of his holiday, Ash’s mother departs for home. Consequently, Ash chooses to remain in Alola to enroll as a student at the Pokémon School, marking a significant shift in his journey.
