Ash struggles to catch his first Pokémon in the Alola region. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is cared for by a Bewear in its cave after being carried there. When Pikipek steal Bewear’s food, the villains plot revenge. Ash shares his lunch with a hungry Rowlet and follows it to a Pikipek flock. He encounters Team Rocket capturing the birds in a net. Rowlet frees its friends and helps Bewear defeat the villains. Afterward, Rowlet joins Ash on his journey.
