Ep. 4: Red defeats the Elite Four, defeats Blue, and Mega Evolves Charizard to capture Mewtwo.
Red reaches the Indigo Plateau and defeats the Elite Four, only to find Blue already holds the Champion title. Red challenges Blue to a battle, where his Charizard defeats Blue's Blastoise. Professor Oak records this victory in league history. Red then travels to catch all 149 known Pokemon. Upon returning home, he learns Blue was defeated by a mysterious creature. Remembering a diary entry, Red identifies the creature as the artificial Pokemon Mewtwo. Guided by Professor Oak and using stones from Fuji, Red confronts Mewtwo. As Red and Charizard refuse to yield, the stones glow as Mega Stones, triggering a Mega Evolution into Mega Charizard X. This transformation allows them to defeat and capture Mewtwo. Red then vows to complete his Pokedex by finding Mew, unaware it is nearby.
