After bidding farewell to Alain, Mairin, and Sycamore, Ash and his friends reach Lumiose Airport. Ash prepares to return to Kanto, while Serena travels to Hoenn to pursue Pokémon Contests. During the Pokémon goodbyes, Dedenne runs away in frustration until Bonnie convinces him to return by sharing her future aspirations. Serena boards her flight and kisses Ash, finally confessing her feelings before leaving. With time remaining before his departure, Ash engages in a final battle against Clemont, featuring Pikachu versus Bunnelby.
