Disguised Mohist leaders reach the ocean and meet Pao Ding and his allies at the Youjian Inn in Shanghai. They discover heightened military activity and closed shipping lanes. Pao Ding advises them to hide in a secluded hill village where Duanmu Rong remains in a coma. He provides three clues left by Zhang Liang, leader of the Confucian school. While walking through the city with Pao Ding and Xiang Shaoyu, Tianming disappears without a trace.
