Ep. 12: Ranma seeks Blend 119 to cure Akane's selective amnesia caused by Shampoo's Shiatsu technique.
Ranma discovers Akane suffers from selective amnesia regarding him, caused by Shampoo’s Shiatsu technique. Dr. Tofu explains the method erases specific memories, reversible only with Shampoo Blend 119. Ranma travels to China to buy the cure but meets Shampoo, who agrees to sell it only if he kills female Ranma. Back at the dojo, Ranma attempts to fake his female self’s death by having Soun and Genma beat him, but Akane interrupts. In anger, Ranma insults Akane with familiar phrases, inadvertently triggering her memory recovery. When Shampoo arrives and tries to kill Akane upon learning of the restored memories, Ranma reveals his secret transformation. Shocked and heartbroken, Shampoo breaks down, declares they will never meet again, and leaves.
