Ep. 9: Kirius and Array pursue Izo to Kamogawa while dealing with personal obligations and revelations.
While the Jersey Club prepares for the Oraga Arts Festival, Kirius, Izo, and Array remain in Katsuura, discussing their past defeats by Madoka, who is banned from piloting Midori. Inspired by a samurai drama, Izo travels to Kamogawa to duel Madoka, prompting Kirius and Array to chase him. At the beach, Kirius sees Madoka save a drowning boy, while Array works for Hiroshi to avoid a dine-and-dash charge. Izo reaches the school, where the kendo club mistakes him for Madoka’s boyfriend and shares how her mother died saving someone from the ocean, inspiring Madoka to join the Jersey Club. Moved by this story, Izo departs before Madoka arrives. The trio returns to Katsuura to find Villagulio playing a dance video game, who demands they join him or be destroyed by his Vox Units.
