Lan and Madoka converse on a water taxi, where Madoka expresses conflict regarding Muginami's actions. Muginami is discharged from the hospital, and Moid and Tadokoro reveal she originates from a remote penal colony that did not sign a human rights treaty. Lan informs Madoka that Villagulio was a former crowned prince of De Metrio and was once close to Muginami due to their shared love of apples. Machiko asks Madoka and Lan to help gather eels from the school swimming pool. Madoka encounters Muginami in a classroom, sneezes, and the two take a hot bath at home. Muginami recounts how Villagulio entered her life when she was younger, leading Madoka to apologize and embrace her. When Muginami attempts to leave at night, Lan stops her and Madoka convinces her to stay, resulting in the three bathing in the ocean together. The next day, after trying on maid outfits for Hiroshi, they rush to school.
