Howard dispatches Rio, Rina, and Anya to staff the Sky Resort casino located atop a mountain. Upon arrival, they encounter Linda, the resort’s dealer and main terminal, who provides a facility tour. Linda is subsequently revealed to be a robot. The resort opens the following day, lifting itself and its patrons high into the sky. A boy then reprograms Linda to initiate a Gate Battle against Rio, requiring both to race down a massive water slide. The competition remains intense as Linda manipulates the course to maintain parity. Rio ultimately prevails when Linda loses her head. After the boy surrenders control of Linda, the mastermind Cartia Goltschmidt approaches Howard.
