Two hours after defeating Jack, an exhausted Rio is forced into another Gate Battle against Queen. The duel involves flying through a wind tunnel to shoot targets. Meanwhile, Jack reveals Cartia has hacked the Sky Resort’s computers, preventing landing until Rio loses. Queen tries to cheat, but an incident where Linda’s head falls off helps Rio. After the battle, a physically drained Rio is cared for by Rina at a bathhouse, where Rio feels watched. Rina is then taken hostage, and Rio is locked in a hologram room facing dangerous simulations that cause her to faint. Barely recovering, Rio is immediately arranged for a third Gate Battle against King, with Rina held captive.
