Hijiri mistakenly believes Anzu caused a car accident to blackmail him, but she angrily denies this and leaves. Confused by her lack of interest, he tries to win her affection using chocolate, games, and kittens. Riri suggests Anzu accept the gifts to give Hijiri a chance, but Anzu insults him by rejecting them, stating she has no interest in presents bought with his parents' money. Hijiri feels sad. The next day, Anzu discovers Hijiri working at the same Konbini where she is employed. Despite his arrogance, he performs well in customer service. Tsuchiya, Hijiri's bodyguard, explains that Anzu's rejection prompted Hijiri to change his personality and relate to ordinary people. After earning his first wage, Hijiri offers to buy Anzu a gift with his own money. Feeling guilty, Anzu accepts and requests a cheap soda. The moment turns romantic when Hijiri smiles, but Anzu slaps herself to regain composure. Later, Anzu sees Tsukasa receive a text from a girl named Arisa.
