Kusuo's class welcomes Touma Akechi, a verbose transfer student with sharp observational skills. During lunch, Touma reveals he knows Kusuo from childhood and directly asks if he is a psychic. Kusuo feigns ignorance, prompting Touma to question Kusuo's friends instead. Later, during a potato harvest, Kusuo pretends to work to avoid bugs until Touma arrives. Meanwhile, Amp is charmed by a cartoonish cat that wins over Kusuo's parents. Finally, Metori Saiko, annoyed that his classmates are not subservient, decides to quit school.
