After Kusuo’s glasses break and he accidentally petrifies Shun and Riki, he enlists psychics Reita and Makoto to impersonate them for twenty-four hours. Complications arise when Reita, posing as Shun, encounters Chiyo at cram school, while Makoto, posing as Riki, is invited to dinner by Chono. Meanwhile, Kusuo’s father becomes disappointed that their robotic cat Warp lacks affection, performing only its programmed functions. Shun hosts a New Year’s Eve party, but the group struggles to remain awake due to prior activities. The final segment features no dialogue, depicting Kusuo’s attempt at a quiet New Year’s celebration being interrupted by his friends’ demands for attention and participation.
