Ep. 13: Sakuta grieves Kaede while Shoko reveals diary goals and Mai seeks reconciliation

Sakuta weeps at Kaede’s hospital bedside, reopening his emotional scars. An older Shoko tends to him and reads Kaede’s diary, revealing goals to create happy memories for Sakuta after memory loss. Sakuta finds a note from Shoko, who then vanishes alongside her younger self. Rio suggests Shoko was an illusion. Mai reads the note and leaves angrily. Sakuta follows her to a filming location, where they share an impromptu date. Mai apologizes for her absence during his crisis, and Sakuta expresses happiness at having her support. In a post-credits scene, Sakuta and Kaede pack bags at the hospital. He thanks her, and she mentions wanting to attend school, feeling less alone.
