Sakuta discovers a tin and returns home to find Kaede in uniform and Mai with concert tickets. Nodoka becomes upset after seeing her mother praise Mai, leading to a beach confrontation where Sakuta stops her from running into the sea. He presents the tin containing letters Nodoka wrote to Mai as children. Mai explains she kept them for motivation during stressful times. She clarifies that their mother worries about Nodoka's happiness and urges her to pursue personal goals rather than just meeting expectations. The sisters reconcile and revert to their true selves. Rio theorizes this transformation relates to quantum teleportation driven by Nodoka's desire to emulate her sister and Mai's jealousy. In the post-credits scene, Nodoka moves in with Mai after a fight with her mother, and Mai's relationship with Sakuta becomes public.
