After a month of assassin training on a deserted island, Lugh and Tarte return to the mainland. Maha informs Lugh about Gae Bolg, a divine treasure of immeasurable power currently held by Setanta MacNess, a renowned warrior suspected to become the legendary Hero. Lugh learns that the Viekone region is embroiled in war and rushes to Dia’s house to offer her an escape route. Dia refuses to abandon her home due to her obligations to her family and people. Despite this, Lugh and Dia decide to enjoy a date. Although Lugh believes he can still help Dia escape, she has already fortified her hometown to defend herself. Later, a wounded soldier requests that the Tuatha Dé family assassinate Dia.
