After rescuing her from wolves, he brings her home and secures his father’s permission to train her. Upon reaching age 12, Lugh observes that Tarte has mastered spear fighting but struggles with smaller weapons like knives. To address this weakness, he designs a special retractable spear that she can conceal under her clothing. Equipped with this effective weapon, Lugh considers Tarte a valuable asset in his ongoing mission to kill the Hero.
