Azai Nagamasa learns of Nobunaga’s misdeeds and decides to stop him from attacking the Asakura clan. Kasuga visits Shingen to support Keiji’s cause against the Oda clan, but Sasuke reports failing to secure an alliance with the Azai and Tokugawa clans for the Takeda. Nobunaga offers Nagamasa a cruel ultimatum: destroy the Asakura himself or face his wife Oichi’s execution. Akechi Mitsuhide warns Nagamasa that Masamune plans a solo attack on Nobunaga, which Nagamasa must prevent. Meanwhile, the Takeda and Uesugi clans form an alliance and prepare for their own assault on the Oda clan.
