Oda advances north from Kyushu, killing Yoshihiro Shimazu. Masamune and Kojuurou reach equal standing, while Takeda gifts Yukimura a new spear. Sasuke reports Tokugawa was assassinated by Mitsuhide, signaling approaching Oda vassals. Uesugi and Kasuga encounter a female shinobi claiming to serve Sasuke. She shoots at Uesugi, revealing herself as Nouhime sent to kill him. Kasuga tries to shield him, but Uesugi moves her aside and takes the bullets. Meanwhile, a thunderstorm causes a river overflow in Kai. Takeda attempts to repair the dike when Mitsuhide arrives to assassinate him. Mitsuhide destroys the dike, flooding the area. He then jabs Takeda with his scythe, causing him to fall into the river.
