Following the defeat at Fouzen, the Imperials fear losing Gallia, prompting Maximilian to devise a secret plan withheld from Jaeger. In response, the Gallian Militia heightens alertness due to Imperial activity. At camp, Largo observes the tension between Welkin and Alicia, sharing his own past love triangle involving Elaine Varrot and a friend who died in battle to warn Welkin against similar errors. While Isara shops accompanied by Ramal, Alicia later confronts Welkin regarding Faldio’s declaration of love. She seeks his opinion on her course of action, but Welkin declines to intervene, stating he does not wish to cause pain to Faldio.
