1EP 1Welkin and Alicia flee Imperial forces while hiding at the Gunther estate.
Apr 5, 2009Facing an imminent Imperial invasion, residents of Bruhl evacuate with help from the Townwatch. Alicia, a Townwatch member, arrests Welkin Gunther for suspected espionage despite his claims of innocence. Welkin escapes, prompting Alicia to pursue him as she remains convinced he is a spy. Both are spotted and shot at by Imperial scouts during the chase. They retreat to the safety of the Gunther estate in the Bruhl countryside, where they reunite with Welkin’s Darcsen foster-sister, Isara. Imperial troops and tanks soon arrive and surround the estate, trapping them inside.
2EP 2Welkin and Isara escape to Bruhl in the Edelweiss tank while Imperial forces pursue.
Apr 12, 2009Welkin, Isara, and Alicia flee to Bruhl in the prototype tank Edelweiss, built by Isara’s father, a Darcsen engineer. Imperial troops pursue them closely. The Bruhl Townwatch delays the enemy to allow civilian evacuation, but their inexperience and poor equipment lead to heavy losses. Inside the Edelweiss, Welkin and Isara fight Imperial forces to buy time for the remaining guards to escape. The Gallian Regular Army arrives at Bruhl’s outskirts but refuses to retake the town from the stronger Imperial force. Following the town’s capture, Alicia and her friend Susie Evans join the Gallian Militia. Alicia is later surprised to discover that Welkin has also enlisted in the militia.
3EP 3Welkin leads Squad 7 to retake Vasel Bridge while managing internal dissent and Darcsen tensions.
Apr 19, 2009Welkin receives a promotion to Lieutenant and becomes the commander of Squad 7, with Alicia serving as his Sergeant. He meets Faldio Landzaat, a former college friend now commanding Squad 1. Welkin’s new subordinates distrust him due to his inexperience. The unit travels to Vasel Bridge, a strategic location near the capital Randgriz currently held by the Imperials. Tensions rise when some members object to Isara, a Darcsen, joining the squad. Welkin bets that if they recapture the bridge within two days, they must accept his leadership and Isara’s presence. Using fog for cover, the Edelweiss flies low over the river to launch a surprise attack. Squad 7 successfully captures the bridge. Most members subsequently accept Welkin, though Rosie continues to refuse to acknowledge Isara.
4EP 4Faldio encourages Alicia regarding Welkin after Squad 7 faces exclusion from the Kloden base assault.
Apr 26, 2009Faldio tries to socialize with Alicia with mixed results. Although Squad 7 captured the Vasel Bridge, General Damon of the Gallian Regular Army remains disdainful of the Militia forces and excludes Squad 7 from the Kloden base assault, causing resentment. Alicia is troubled by Welkin's quiet acceptance of this omission, but Faldio encourages her to have more faith in him. General Damon is subsequently defeated by General Gregor of the Imperial Army. Squad 7 is then chosen to attack Kloden with support from Faldio's Squad 1. Due to Faldio's provocation, a mortified Alicia accidentally slaps Welkin.
5EP 5Squad 7 and Faldio launch an assault on General Gregor's fortified Kloden supply base.
May 3, 2009Welkin and Squad 7 ally with Faldio and Squad 1 to seize the heavily defended Kloden supply base held by General Gregor. After Rosie captures a porcavian pig, revealing an animal trail, Welkin devises a plan where the Edelweiss and Squad 7, led by Rosie and Largo, distract the main Imperial force. Meanwhile, Alicia and Squad 7 infiltrate the base via the trail, despite Alicia's dislike of Faldio. Alicia is shot but heals rapidly, surprising Faldio, and resumes fighting. Jaegar arrives with reinforcements to help Gregor escape as the Militia captures the base. Welkin stops Faldio from pursuing the retreating Imperials. Afterwards, Alicia keeps the porcavian pig and names it Hans.

Alicia becomes anxious about potential remarks from Welkin and follows him closely to protect the militia's reputation. Meanwhile, Ellet makes every effort to secure a private audience with Welkin. The situation creates tension as Alicia attempts to prevent any damage to the group's image while Ellet persists in her journalistic pursuit of an exclusive conversation with the squad member.

Their jeep suffers mechanical failure, leaving Isara and Ramal behind for repairs while Welkin, Faldio, and Alicia proceed on foot. Elsewhere, Selvaria and Maximilian analyze Old Northern Script inscriptions, with Selvaria's blood activating a concealed gate. This action brings Selvaria and Maximilian into direct confrontation with Welkin, Alicia, and Faldio within the ruins.
8EP 8Maximilian orders the destruction of Valkyrur ruins while Gregor captures Fouzen.
May 24, 2009Faldio accuses the Imperials of trespassing on Gallian territory, prompting Maximilian to concede the point but assert that the land belongs to the Valkyrur, specifically Selvaria. When Maximilian tries to leave, Alicia attempts to shoot him, but Selvaria deflects the bullet with her sword, shocking the Gallians. Meanwhile, Isara and Ramal detect a disturbance and arrive at the ruins to find a massive tank destroying the site on Maximilian’s orders, which collapses the area and separates Welkin from Alicia and Faldio. Concurrently, Gregor’s forces seize the mining city of Fouzen and execute the defeated Gallian Regular Army general. Gregor expresses dissatisfaction with the easy victory, preferring to fight the Edelweiss rather than incompetent Regulars. Welkin escapes with help from Isara and Ramal, while Faldio and Alicia remain trapped. Faldio shares Welkin’s past with Alicia, and Welkin later uses his knowledge of babysitter lizards to find a path to them. Alicia’s gratitude turns to annoyance as Welkin bombards her with scientific questions about the lizards, leading Faldio to call Welkin an amazing guy.
9EP 9Imperial aides arrive as Selvaria pursues Prince Maximilian amid assassination attempts.
May 31, 2009Imperial Central Command sends three aides to serve the Generals, including Karl Oswald assigned to Selvaria. Prince Maximilian is recalled to the Imperial Capitol alone, prompting Selvaria to suspect a plot. Jaegar advises Selvaria to follow her instincts, but Karl stops her initial pursuit by citing regulations. An assassin targets Karl, but Selvaria eliminates the threat. Karl then reveals his true mission was to prevent Selvaria from accompanying the Prince. He redeems himself by driving Selvaria and Jaegar to catch up with Maximilian. During the journey, Selvaria fights off assassins targeting the Prince, leading Karl to witness her combat prowess and understand her "Azure Witch" moniker. Maximilian survives the attack unharmed, causing consternation for the Crown Prince. Karl is relieved when Selvaria accepts him as her aide.
10EP 10Alicia and Welkin shelter from a blizzard while facing an Imperial soldier with a grenade
Jun 7, 2009Alicia and Welkin conduct deep reconnaissance in Imperial-held territory but are forced to seek shelter in an abandoned cabin due to a sudden snowstorm. Inside, an Imperial soldier enters and threatens them with a live fragmentation grenade to force surrender. Alicia successfully convinces him to lower his weapon so she can treat his gunshot wounds. The soldier reveals he joined the Imperial army for a better life but was shot by his own comrades when attempting to desert. Moved by her compassion, he re-inserts the safety pin into the grenade, rendering it inert. As he dies, he identifies himself as Mikhail Weber. Meanwhile, Squad 7 grows anxious over the missing pair. During the banquet, Princess Cordelia commends Faldio and Welkin for reclaiming Vasel and Kloden from Imperial forces. Jaeger warns Alicia outside the hall, prompting her to alert Welkin and Faldio about the Imperial Generals present. After Cordelia retreats to rest, she is abducted by an unknown attacker. Alicia wanders the castle, witnesses the kidnapping, and is subsequently knocked unconscious and abducted on the orders of Prime Minister Maurits von Borg.
12EP 12Imperial and Federation forces unite to rescue kidnapped princesses from Atlantic Federation agents.

Welkin, Faldio, and Ramal must collaborate with Imperial officers to save Alicia and Cordelia before they are transferred to Federation territory. The Edelweiss team, joined by Welkin and Isara, successfully rescues the princesses from Federation agents. Meanwhile, Irene, who is hiding, identifies Borg and Federation Ambassador Townsend as the true culprits behind Cordelia’s disappearance. Cordelia instructs Faldio and Welkin to keep the incident secret from the Gallian media to prevent public exposure. Irene subsequently warns Alicia, Isara, and Ramal about a larger conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes.
13EP 13Militia deployment to Fouzen sparks covert Darcsen resistance operations against Imperial forces
Jun 28, 2009Irritated by the Gallian militia's rising popularity and victories, General Damon orders their deployment to Fouzen. Welkin and Faldio lead their units in civilian attire to secretly contact Zaka's Darcsen resistance group, while a diversionary tank assault distracts enemy forces. Upon arrival, Rosie expresses her strong dislike for the Darcsen people due to historical grievances. Zaka acknowledges her anger, noting that his people have long adapted to anti-Darcsen discrimination. The group then coordinates a multi-pronged offensive to destroy General Gregor's armored train, the Equus, while simultaneously striking the Imperial military headquarters and Darcsen concentration camps in Fouzen.
14EP 14Gallian and Darcsen forces assault Fouzen but face a devastating counterattack by Gregor and the Equus.

After the Equus sustains minor damage from explosives on railway tracks, Gregor demands Gallian withdrawal, threatening innocent Darcsens. Faldio orders an attack, prompting the Equus to fire its cannon at the Darcsens. Isara and Ramal, piloting a hijacked Imperial tank, destroy the Equus. Despite the tactical victory, morale plummets due to civilian Darcsen deaths caused by anti-personnel munitions. Rosie suffers trauma, recalling her parents' murder by armed gunmen years ago.
15EP 15Rosie's Traumatic Past and Her Performance for the Squad

Rosie remains traumatized and unwilling to sing. Welkin attempts to persuade her after learning Isara planned to skip the show to encourage Rosie. Squad 7 celebrates by exchanging gifts, with Isara giving Rosie a handcrafted good luck charm doll. Isara also manufactures smoke shells for the Edelweiss to obscure defender visibility. This smoke allows Squad 7 to breach defenses, prompting the Regular Army to join and force an Imperial retreat. Rosie is saved from a sniper by Isara's charm, softening her attitude toward her friend. However, Isara is shot and killed by an Imperial sniper, shocking Rosie as the battle concludes.

Despite their grief, Welkin orders the unit to focus on the Imperials, drawing accusations from Ramal that he does not care about his sister’s death. Rosie struggles with survivor guilt over failing to save Isara. Meanwhile, General Damon demands details on smoke shell production within three days or face punishment. Alicia discovers Squad 7 plans to ambush Damon with a hidden ground trap. Faldio persuades them to abandon this plan, arguing that continued victories and saving Gallia is the best way to humiliate Damon. He then confronts Welkin regarding his emotional suppression and Alicia’s feelings, resulting in Faldio punching him.

At the Gallian camp, Alicia attempts to escape and reunite with her squad after Damon announces her forced promotion to Captain.
