Ep. 26: Squad 7 fights Imperials while Welkin rescues Alicia from Maximilian
Inside the Marmotah, Squad 7 battles Imperials so Faldio and Welkin can locate Alicia. Faldio dies shielding Welkin with a grenade. Maximilian confronts Alicia, who rejects his offer to join him. Welkin finds Alicia restrained on the Marmotah deck. Maximilian attacks using the Artificial Valkyrian System powered by the Holy Lance. He demands a duel to prove his technology. Alicia activates her Valkyrian flame, overloading the system and wounding Maximilian. He commits suicide as the ship collapses. Alicia asks Welkin to leave her due to uncontrollable flames. Welkin embraces and kisses her, extinguishing the fire. The Empire and Gallia sign a peace treaty, ending the seven month Gallian War. Princess Cordelia is acclaimed as Archduchess despite her Darcsen heritage. Squad 7 disbands. Welkin and Alicia return to Bruhl to honor the dead.
