Rei and a Fairy Air Force crewmember investigate a Banshee flying aircraft carrier that previously fired on friendly forces. Inspection of the seemingly deserted vessel reveals it is being used by JAM to create human clones. When their discovery triggers the FAF's automated command system to launch an SRBM to destroy the Banshee, Rei manages to escape. However, his companion, upon realizing he is a JAM clone, chooses to remain aboard the doomed air fortress.
