Believing planet Fairy is the JAM collective and that infiltrators are preparing a mutiny, the FAF plans to trap the enemies and withdraw remaining troops. JAM responds by positioning its entire military between the FAF and their escape portal, while hijacking FAF UCAVs to disrupt their formations. Determined to avenge repeated hacking attempts on the Yukikaze AI, Rei Fukai and the AI undertake a final mission to escort nuclear weapons into the JAM core. This action provides the necessary opening for the FAF to retreat, with Rei and the AI appearing to sacrifice themselves during the operation.
