Irako and Iku enter Kogan dojo after Noubi swordsmen vouch for them. Iku plays the biwa and recites a poem before revealing a dragon-and-tiger tattoo to provoke Kogan. He brutally cuts her back and kills two Noubi defenders. Trapped, Irako leaps outside to duel Kogan alone. Despite being cut, Irako strikes the old man, who falls silent. Irako rises to confirm the kill, discovering Kogan’s face is destroyed. Fujiki returns to find his master dead and fails to revive him. Seven days later, Ushimata finds the dojo closed in mourning. Eventually, Irako meets Tadanaga, who asks about his technique. Irako identifies his style as Mumyou Sakanagare, concluding the sequence of events with his new identity established.
