Annie investigates a missing person case at the Stohess District Military Police base involving Carly Stratmann.

Annie requests a day off from her roommate at the Stohess District Military Police base, agreeing to locate the missing Carly Stratmann in exchange. She interviews Carly’s father, who owns the struggling Marleen Company, but suspects he is hiding details despite his apparent wealth. Annie tracks Carly to the Pit Riddles bar, where she is a regular with suspicious funds. After physically extracting information about Carly’s boyfriend, Kampfer Boltz, from patrons, Annie investigates his residence. She discovers a large quantity of the illicit drug Codeloine and a body hidden under the bed.

Annie confronts investigators and infiltrates the Survey Corps to capture Eren Jaeger

Annie confirms Kampfer Boltz’s death, triggering an encounter with investigators Wald and Lou. She triggers her Titan form to escape, but Lou shoots them both. Wald reveals Stratmann hired him to find Carly and knows Annie’s secret. He explains Kampfer attempted to blackmail Stratmann regarding his daughter. Annie recovers, tracks Lou, and finds Carly. She discovers Carly and her father manufacture Codeloine. To protect herself, Annie helps Carly escape to Wall Rose and disposes of Kampfer’s body. Her final objective is to infiltrate the Survey Corps’ 57th reconnaissance mission and capture Eren Jaeger.

Mikasa experiences an alternate reality where her parents survive and she bonds with Eren before facing a grim fate.

Within Wall Rose, Mikasa envisions a life where her parents remain alive. She meets Eren, son of Doctor Jaeger, and they befriend each other while exploring the woods. They witness wolves consuming human remains, but the beasts flee when Eren approaches. Eren shares his aspirations to join the Survey Corps and see the world beyond the wall, alongside his friend Armin. Despite Mikasa’s affection, Eren remains dedicated to his goals, even after witnessing Titan attacks and injuries sustained defending their honor. When Eren and Armin plan to breach the wall using a hot air balloon, Mikasa intends to join them. However, a masked figure intercepts her, threatening to turn her into a killer and predicting Eren’s death. After appearing to defeat him, she reaches the meeting point. Armin reveals that Eren sacrificed himself to save him. Returning to reality, Mikasa accepts that Eren will fulfill his destiny and she will stand by him.
